Anonymous whispered, "Hi, Looking for the dress Princess Margaret wore to an event at the White House to met President Lyndon Johnson, it was a pink dress (Craven's Original French Almonds Pink to be precise) and was featured on the cover of the December 3rd Life magazine. Any ideas?"

You’re looking for the cover or the dress? I have pictures of Margaret wearing the dress but I have no idea who’s the designer. The year is 1965 tho.

Princess Margaret’s wedding dress, May 1960.

As Margaret was rather short and had a very slender frame, she stipulated that her wedding dress should be simple and without the usual traditional lace, sequins and fuss that characterises a Royal wedding dress. The result, a gown made from around 30 extravagant metres of silk organza was absolutely stunning in its elegance and simplicity and one of the most gorgeous wedding dresses of all time, proving that you don’t need a mountain of glitz to look every inch a princess.

“Princess Margaret is just as hep wide-awake as any American girl, may be more so. She is up on all the latest records and movies and has a lot of wit and charm too. She is the best ambassador England ever had.” - Frank Sintra
